Biography II: Prem
Ras Siddhant
It was at this time that he
also revealed and detailed the devotional philosophy of
Krishn love in Prem Ras
Siddhant. In this glorious work, he dictated the
complete philosophy of times past. All of the
philosophies of the Jagadgurus of the past were
seamlessly reconciled through this writing. Thus did
Shree Maharajji also demonstrate his omniscience.
He had never before studied certain scriptures, and was
nonetheless able to reconstruct the ancient scriptural
philosophy in perfect, harmonious form.
In 1955, a religious convention or sammelan
was organized by Shree Majarajji at a holy place
called Chitrakoot. His preparation and outpouring of
wisdom in the Prem Ras Siddhant meant that he was
ready to emerge from the woods and become a more
constant presence in the lives of devotees. A year
later in Kanpur, he organized an even larger and
more significant sammelan to which he invited the
leading religious personalities of the many
spiritual missions in India for another gathering.
For fifteen days they taught and learned, exchanging
knowledge and love. In this way the name Kripalu Ji
Maharaj was etched into the hearts of the
greatest preachers and most learned men. One
particularly learned man in attendance at this
important gathering was the chief secretary of Kashi
Vidvat Parishad. He was so deeply moved and overcome
by the Maharajji’s speech he invited him to teach
the pandits of Varanasi. Thus in 1957 did Shree
Maharajji move to Varanasi, for many centuries the
best known center of study and exploration of the
scriptures.
